There are many great stories that come from IHSAE; however, the most significant is the ongoing story of the relationships I’ve forged with educators, students and families. It is inspiring and gratifying to see the artistic and professional growth of the students who I see return year-after-year for the opportunity to professionally showcase their work, and vie for scholarship opportunities to SCAD, which will help forge a path to creative careers.

How does it work?

1. Start Looking

Upon registration you will receive a SlideRoom account with instruction on how to access student portfolios (Senior Exhibition), artwork submissions by school (General Exhibition), and Student / Teacher Data.* Use this digital portfolio to find students for your school, set up portfolio reviews, school visits, you name it!

2. Stay Connected

Watch your inbox for updates from us on dates, schedules, etc. If you think you missed something, please contact us!

3. Make your Offers!

Seniors

Seniors will submit their portfolios by January 24th, 2020. Students are strongly encouraged to submit by the priority deadline in November. Find the students for your school, then contact both the students and IHSAE about your elections

Grades 9-11

If your institution offers Early College Program or Summer Intensives, etc., consider offering a scholarship to students in our General Exhibition. We’ve found these programs are a great way to get targeted students committed to attending your school. Student selection takes place in-person on the day prior to the big event, but you can also send a list of names to an IHSAE representative if you can’t make it.

4. Show Up for the Big Event!

Come ready to promote your program at our College Fair and be a part of an incredible day of visual art! Last year we had over 3500 people in attendance.

Your representative will be recognized at the Senior Scholarship Exhibition and also has the option of presenting awards if you are awarding Early College Program scholarships to students at our General Exhibition.
