The IHSAE has a lot of great things planned for our student participants. The 1st floor has been designated for students/parents to meet with a host of the nation’s most desirable art schools, colleges and universities for those one-on-one conversations. Students will have the opportunity to take part in various activities throughout the afternoon such as; visiting with artist’s in the Art Centers studios, artist led talks, Art Advocacy forum, Doodle Boards, Photo Booth, Competitive Art Battles, Raffles and other fun activities taking place throughout both buildings. Remember to hang around for the awards. Please make every effort to be present for your award.

Visual Arts Recruitment Fair
Bridgeport Art Center

The IHSAE will open our doors beginning at 9:00am for the Visual Arts Recruitment Fair. Students and their families will have the opportunity to connect with art schools, colleges and universities Admissions Representatives regarding Post-Secondary Education. Please remind students to check the list of attending schools. Stop by the AICAD booth to pick up some vital information about college.

IHSAE Vendor EXPO

Be sure to stop by all our vendor tables and see all the exciting materials available.  Be sure to visit the Art Advocacy table to see how you can be an active supporter of the Visual Arts in Illinois.

Show opens to public for viewing

Early College Scholarship Awards

The IHSAE will recognize all students who have been selected to receive an Early College Program/Summer Intensive Scholarship. Student winners will also be identified with a place card affixed to each recipient's work. Students should make every effort to find the Admission Representative from that school for details of the award.

Bridgeport and Zhou B. Art Centers Open Studios

IHSAE guests should take this time to familiarize themselves w/ both Art Centers. Guest can visit with artists in their studios, attend artist led presentations and demonstrations. See Show Program for open studio, locations and details.

General Exhibition Awards Ceremony
Zhou B. Art Center

Student winners will be recognized & presented with the show awards at this time. All winning works will be identified with an IHSAE place card acknowledging that the student’s artwork has been selected as a winner. The student (or an immediate family member) must be present to receive any IHSAE awards. Teachers will not be able to accept IHSAE awards on behalf of their students. Students not in attendance at the time of the awards will forfeit any cash prizes. All General Exhibition student winners should proceed to the 2nd Floor Gallery by 1:50 to seating areas designated by category.

Senior Scholarship Exhibition Awards Ceremony

Senior’s who received scholarship offers will be recognized at this time. The IHSAE also selects student winners will be identified with an IHSAE place card acknowledging the student’s artwork has been selected as a winner. The student (or an immediate family member) must be present to receive any IHSAE awards. Teacher will not be able to accept IHSAE awards on behalf of their students. Students not in attendance at the time of the awards will forfeit any cash prizes. All Senior Scholarship Exhibition winners should proceed to the 1st Floor by 3:50pm to the designated seating areas identified by category.

5:15 - 6:00pm

This time is reserved for public viewing & discussions. Please feel free to use the last hour of the show however you wish. Students may want to meet w/ College Representatives, check out the vendor representatives, chat with artists in their studios and their products or just view the gallery.
